Hummingbird Nest Ranch Harpist

Hummingbird Nest Ranch is beautifully framed against the rugged rocky outcroppings looming above the eastern part of Simi Valley. The scenery alone makes for a gorgeous wedding spot. The amenities of this enormous venue will make a wedding all that much more spectacular. What else is needed? Well, a Hummingbird Nest Ranch Harpist, of course!

Catherine and Joey were married this past weekend at the Sitting Bull Olive Grove ceremony site, a perfect setting for the most romantic of wedding ceremonies. Pacific Coast Stings (a stylish string quartet led by Brittany Cotto) provided the music for the ceremony.

For the Cocktail Hour, I had the privilege of playing some exquisite romantic pieces as a musical reminder of the couple’s engagement in Paris. I played Debussy’s Clair de Lune and Edith Piath’s French classic, La Vie en Rose. I then rolled out some more current pop songs like A Thousand Years, Love Story and Marry Me. It was a gorgeous wedding! During the cocktail hour and the first part of the reception there was trading back and forth between me and Pacific Coast Strings. 

When it was time for The Grand Entrance, the newly married couple arrived via an Italian gondola captained by a singing tenor which made for a wonderful touch and garnered much applause. This was a music lover\’s type of wedding!
