CalAmigos Julia and Jay
From the moment I started talking with Jay about the possibility of me playing at his and Julia’s wedding, I knew it would be an unforgettable event. Jay and Julia are both wonderfully unique people. Jay asked if I ever played songs that were not on my playlist. Of course I am always more than happy to learn new songs to create the perfect setting for someone’s wedding. He told me that he wanted songs from Legend of Zelda and Avatar, The Last Airbender. I had learned some gamer songs for some events in the past, but I wasn’t overly familiar with these songs, so I told him I would need to see if it would sound good on the harp. From the second I listed to some of the different gamer music, I was hooked. The melodies are so beautiful and work perfectly on the harp.

The Oaks Room at Calamigos

Their wedding was held at CalAmigos. I could not image a more perfect setting than the The Oaks Room  with the almost mythical, majestic trees and magical  backdrop created by a natural stone waterfall.

We asked VeeRonna to be our harpist for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. She was very responsive throughout the weeks leading up to the wedding and was willing to learn a few songs from our favorite video games. She was receptive to playing every song with the specific mood and tempo that we desired and played them right on cue. After talking with our guests, it sounds as though she even catered the music she played during cocktail hour to the crowd, such as playing music from Game of Thrones (which we hadn’t even requested)! It was a pleasure working with VeeRonna, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to make their birthday or wedding more magical. Thanks for the classy vibes, VeeRonna
