Professional harpist, VeeRonna, makes use of four types of harps.
The most popular harp is the concert grand pedal harp. This is due to its versatility as an instrument which allows for more complicated styles of music. Through the maneuvering of the seven pedals at its base, a skilled harpist can flesh out every musical key with ease, in addition to providing rich textures and tonality in her playing style. A pedal harp is ideal for weddings, special events, or concerts and may be paired with all sorts of ensemble or rhythm section instruments.
The beach harp is perfect for events held where the ground may be unstable (i.e. sand or grass). This harp has three wooden legs that can go directly into the sand without damaging the instrument. A small lavaliere microphone can be placed inside the harp to allow for amplification. This is especially useful for events which have louder ambient noises (i.e. waves crashing on the shore).
Harp music has long been known for it’s relaxing and healing qualities. This harp is ideal for therapeutic settings, such as spas, hospitals, nursing or hospice facilities, and private residences.
